The Home Artisans of Indiana has long been committed to uniting home improvement professionals who share a passion for superior quality, value, and exceptional customer service. In 2024, the organization continued its expansion with the addition of a new chapter in Greenfield, Indiana, advancing their vision of growing to ten chapters by 2031.
Located just east of Indianapolis on I-70, Greenfield is one of the fastest-growing communities in Central Indiana. In 2024, the Greenfield Area Chamber of Commerce reported more than 50 new members, shattering their annual average of seventeen in recent years. With this influx of businesses comes a new crop of home improvement and renovation professionals who are looking to leave their indelible mark on the industry.
Derik Blosser, Director of Operations for Peak Stone Company, is currently the interim Greenfield chapter Champion for the Home Artisans of Indiana and also sits on its executive board. His role is that of a mentor, ensuring that this new chapter meets the same standards that members have come to expect across the state. Blosser hopes the addition of Greenfield to their existing chapters will deepen their organization’s reach and influence within the local home improvement community.
“As a hub for local home improvement professionals, we’ll be able to foster a sense of community through networking opportunities and collaboration,” says Blosser. “The regular meetings, events, and opportunities for artisans to share ideas and resources will hopefully strengthen relationships among local Greenfield business leaders. It will also enhance the overall goal to build better businesses together through shared knowledge and referrals.”
Some of the newer members to Greenfield’s burgeoning assembly of artisans include Rebekah Phillips of Wooton Hoy, LLC, Matt Belcher of Belcher Electric, Harrison Bartel of Completely Independent Insurance Agency, and John Hobelman of IndyReFire.
Blosser says, “The Greenfield chapter will be supported by the already established governance structure, as well as resources for membership development and education/chapter programming.” He says that the chapter will also benefit from ongoing mentoring and the support to ensure alignment with the core values of the organization. Additionally, the organization will promote growth by facilitating networking events and community engagement activities, such as the Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build.
